Missionary teams discipling least-reached peoples of the 10/40 window toward the formation of multiplying indigenous Christ-centered communities.
To advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ by training and facilitating the sending of missionaries to least-reached peoples through prayer, mobilization, resource generation, and missionary care in partnership with churches and other organizations.
The Asian (World) Center for Missions, Inc. (ACM)
is the missionary training arm of the CBN Asia.
In 1994, Gordon Robertson of CBN Asia together with Dr. Miguel Alvarez of Asian School of Christian Ministries gathered with several Filipino Pastors to talk about Asia’s and the Philippine’s great needs. They laid the cornerstone for what is now the Asian Center for Missions.
As they walked through the planning dynamics, Gordon Robertson was convinced that Dr. Alvarez and he would have to decrease and the presence of the Filipino Evangelical community increased. It was only appropriate that an Asian Center be owned by and be representative of the broader Asian Church.
Along this line, they established a board of directors representing the entire Filipino body of Christ. They invited leaders from key Filipino ministries, as such, today the Asian Center for Missions (ACM) is owned by Asians for Asia.
The Asian Center for Missions (ACM) was launched in 1995 to reap the last and greatest harvest of the field of the world. (accreditation no. 080-2004).
ACM is guided by the vision that the Philippines will become a righteous nation and serve as a launching pad of the gospel in Asia and beyond. ACM is a servant of the Filipino Body of Christ in the aspect of missions. All that God entrusts to us is meant for the benefit of the Church pursuant to the vision. ACM works not in competition but in cooperation with members of the body of Christ. In this respect, ACM adheres to unity of the Body.
We believe in God’s unique design of the Filipino race and the historical orchestration of events in the spiritual growth of our people. ACM recognizes the diversity of giftings in the Body and works with each member accordingly. ACM is a team effort from within and without, purposefully allowing each one to be utilized according to the Maker’s design and plan. ACM believes in providing support but not to the extent that we create dependency and fuel a mendicant spirit among believers.
ACM’s rationale for being is to provide cross-cultural ministry courses and help facilitate deployment of those who have been called by God to become “goers” in close partnership with the local churches of these individuals. ACM intends to provide excellent tools for the missionaries trained to help them in becoming viable witnesses among the unreached people groups (UPGs). ACM recognizes the function of technology in helping achieve the goals of ministry and therefore pursues full utilization of it.
Above everything else, ACM is to be a model of Christlikeness in all of its undertakings and relationships because only through being such will God be truly honored, and ACM can rightfully bear His Name.
“We strongly encourage cross-cultural outreach and discipleship.”
History of missions up to the present shows us that from reaching the coastlands then the interiors, today’s focus is towards reaching the different ethno-linguistic people groups in the 10/40 Window. This geographical location is home to thousands of least reached peoples (LRPs) who have never heard the Gospel, seen or read a Bible, or met a born-again Christian. Furthermore, this densely populated part of the world is also a place covered in deep spiritual darkness as major world religions claim their origin and bastion in the 10/40 Window.
“Mission exists where worship does not. Thus, the ultimate goal of mission is the worship of God by all people from every nation, tribes and tongues.” (John Piper)
“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.” (Revelation 7:9)
“It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.” (Romans 15:20)
“ACM shares the vision, trains for action… missionary teams in every nation”
Mission preparation involves the training of the whole person, hands and feet. For training to be effective it must be highly instructional, inspirational, interactive and experiential. But for it to have the greatest impact it must be transferable. Missionary training is life-changing and life-shaking.
“Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” (2 Titus 2:15)
“Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.” (1 Corinthians 9:25)
“Daring, sharing and caring.”
Caring relationship and community is vital for the long term effectiveness of missionaries to the LRPs which include working hand in hand with local churches in providing care and assistance for missionaries. Through such relationship the world (LRP) will know that we are His disciples.
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:39)
“And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:42)
“Global Bayanihan: Teaming up with God locally and globally.”
ACM recognizes the diversity of gifts in the Body and works with each member accordingly. ACM is a team effort from within and without, purposefully allowing each one to be utilized according to the Maker’s design and plan. ACM believes in providing support but not to the extent that we create dependency and fuel a mendicant spirit among believers.
“In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” (Philippians 1:4-5)
OUR CORE VALUES
a. PASSION FOR GOD
“The love of God is the root of our passion for global mission.”
Passion for mission is not an option, it is a must. Mission history shows that such passion to reach the lost at any cost moved thousands of missionaries from all over the world to leave their comfort zones and find their life’s meaning and joy in living in far flung countries to live among people of different language, economic status, culture and ethnicity to show and share God’s love. Such obedience is in no doubt fueled by a consuming passion for God.
b. SERVANT LEADERSHIP
“Serve by leading, lead by serving.”
ACM aims to follow the model of Christ in leadership and service especially in the area of mission education and training. ACM will lead by serving and serve by leading people within and without. In doing so, others will be empowered and the Lord of the harvest will be glorified. ACM serves the Body of Christ here and abroad in the area of missions.
“Doing what is acceptable to God and man.”
ACM serves in the context of vertical relationship which means with God and horizontal relationship which means with people. We desire to develop long-term relationship with individuals, such as trainees and partners; as well as institutions like churches and missions organization through consistent practice of righteousness, openness, mutual accountability and transparency. Our contribution to the body of Christ is more acceptable to God and more meaningful to us when we honor the Lord in our daily conduct.
“Everything that lives grow, and everything that grows changes.”
Since the only constant thing in our world is change, ACM is keen to adapt with the changing times. We accommodate flexibility to pursue collaborative and creative approaches to mission in all our processes.
“Good, and not bad, is always the enemy of the best.” (Jim Collins)
Someone said that excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. The Bible went a little further by saying that “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” (Colossians 3.23) since mission is from and unto the Lord, and its motivation is eternal life, it is therefore imperative that ACM pursue excellence. The Psalmist said, “How excellent is your name o Lord”. Our efficiency and effectiveness must reflect our pursuit of excellence in all aspect of our ministry recognizing the excellence of the Name of the Lord.

The Board of Trustees, along with the faculty and staff of the Corporation, are committed to an evangelical interpretation and application of the Christian faith. The Corporation emphasizes the fruit, gifts, and ministries of the Holy Spirit. - That man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin, is lost and powerless to save himself;
- That the only hope for man is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, who died on the cross to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind, and who rose from the dead; so that by receiving Him as Savior and Lord, man is redeemed by His blood;
- That Jesus Christ will personally return to Earth in power and glory;
- That the Holy Spirit indwells those who receive Christ, for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and holy lives;
- That the Church is the body of Christ and is comprised of all those who through faith in Christ have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the church is worldwide evangelization and the nurture and discipling of Christians.
