This is a follow-up report to the sustainable development project initiated by ACM and Team Mataid, meaning beautiful, where we did a fundraising campaign to distribute housing materials to the families on the island of Bohol devastated by Typhoon Odette in 2021.
Team Mataid used the project as an entry platform to start a ministry among this unreached community. This paved the way for relationships to be established aiming that it will birth the formation of a Christ-centered community.
Traveling 4-6 hours to reach the people, they rented a room as their home and center to seal their commitment to this ministry.
To build and maintain credibility, the team offers livelihood training, like Faith Gardening Training, to sustain their community development projects. They believe that a trustworthy messenger brings a trustworthy message. In this case, the message they bring is the gospel of salvation.
